i weep for my country’s government. this isn’t right, none of this is right. the hypocrisy, the brutality, the complete lack of rights. you want to talk about human rights in libya, obama? how about you make a statement about how NYPD are detaining people who have not been charged and not read their rights.
i weep because of the corruption and hypocrisy, but i celebrate the people. the people are amazing. this movement is amazing. the more the american government suppresses it the more it will grow. i feel guilty that i cannot be there. there’s not much i’m willing to get arrested for, but this is it. i wish i could be there. all i can do is send my solidarity to an amazing group of people.
I’d like to be able to believe in the principles my government extols.
